Tune your brand voice
Set how Thig's agents write on each platform: tone, who is speaking, words to avoid, reference posts and hard rules, then test with samples.
Brand voice controls how every agent sounds. Thig starts from the Brand Voice document it writes during onboarding. You then tune it per platform in the voice studio and test it with sample posts before you save.
Open the voice studio
- Open your workspace and go to Brand voice. It is also linked from Settings, Agents, Brand voice.
- Pick a platform tab: General (all platforms), X, LinkedIn, Reddit or Articles.
If you have not saved anything yet, you see "Not saved yet: agents use these defaults from brand-voice.md."
Fill it in fast
Two shortcuts do most of the work:
- Analyze from my site fills the settings from your site and Brand Voice document. Review them, then save.
- Have posts already? Paste 3 to 5 of your own posts under Reference posts. Analyze reads their length, casing and structure.
Adjust the settings
| Setting | What it controls |
|---|---|
| Who is speaking | I (founder voice) or We (company voice) |
| Tone | How formal, direct or playful the writing is |
| Pillars | The themes you want to be known for |
| Goals | What each post should achieve |
| Lean into | Topics or styles to use more, for example "lessons from real builds, plain trade-offs" |
| Avoid | Words and habits to drop, for example "hype words, emojis, buzzwords" |
| Length, Format, Cadence | Post length, structure and how often to post |
| Call to action | Your default ask, for example "Book a free discovery session" |
| Writing notes | Notes the agents follow on every draft for this platform |
As you choose options, Your voice archetype updates and shows how the agent Writes like this.
Test before you save
- Click Generate 5 samples. Samples use your unsaved changes, so you can try a setting first.
- Rate each sample with I like this or Not for us, and add an optional note.
- Click Write 5 new samples to try again.
When the samples sound right, save. Changes apply to every new draft on that platform.
Platform instructions
Platform instructions are hard rules appended to every generation for a platform, whatever the voice settings say. For example: "Keep it under 3 sentences. Never use emojis." Set them in the studio or in Settings, Agents.
See the final prompt
The prompt preview shows the exact voice text added to every generation for the platform, after your strategy documents. Click Edit prompt to hand-edit it. A hand-edited prompt replaces the compiled style guide. Click Reset to go back.
Your own voice
Everyone on the team can keep a personal voice for X and LinkedIn, next to the brand's Founder ("I") and Company ("we") voices.
- Open Brand voice and choose My voice at the top.
- Pick X or LinkedIn. Paste three to five posts you wrote and click Build from my posts, or fill in the fields yourself.
- Click Save my voice. Only you can see or change it.
The shared brand rules (the team's platform and general instructions) apply under every voice, and product facts always come from the strategy documents.
Draft as
When you write X or LinkedIn posts, the Draft as menu picks the voice: Brand voice (as saved), Founder (I), Company (we) or My voice. Drafts show whose voice they are in.
A draft in your own voice is yours: only you can approve, plan or post it. Teammates can still read, edit or dismiss it.
To post from your own account, open My voice, pick X or LinkedIn and paste an access token for your account under Your X account or Your LinkedIn account. Then the drawer offers Publish for drafts in your voice, and they go out from your account, never the company's. Without a token, Post opens X or LinkedIn in your browser so you post it yourself. Your token is stored encrypted, only you can see that it is connected, and it is removed if you leave the workspace.
In the post drawer, Rewrite in my voice rewrites any X or LinkedIn draft in your voice. The rewrite goes into the editor, so you review it before you save.
