Connect Telegram

Connect Telegram to get Thig's daily digest in a chat. The digest lists new feed items since the last one and key metrics from Search Console, Google Analytics and PageSpeed. Thig sends it through a bot you create.

Step 1: Create a bot

1. In Telegram, open a chat with @BotFather.
2. Send /newbot and follow the prompts to name it.
3. BotFather replies with a bot token like 123456:ABC.... Copy it.

Step 2: Find the chat ID

1. Open a chat with your new bot and send it any message. For a group, add the bot to the group and send a message there.
2. In a browser, open https://api.telegram.org/bot<your-token>/getUpdates.
3. Find "chat":{"id": ...} in the response and copy the number. Group chat IDs start with -100.

Step 3: Connect in Thig

1. Open Account from the dock, or Settings, Integrations.
2. Find Telegram and click Connect.
3. Fill in:
   • Bot token: from step 1.
   • Chat ID: from step 2, for example -1001234567890.
4. Click Connect. Thig checks the bot token.

What you receive

The digest runs once a day through the digest monitor. It includes:

• New items in the feed by agent, such as Reddit, X, LinkedIn, Hacker News, SEO, AI visibility, articles and UGC video.
• Key metrics from the stored Search Console, Analytics and PageSpeed snapshots.

The digest reads only stored data, so it does not use AI credits. To change when it runs, open Settings, Agents, Monitors.

Troubleshooting

• Token looks invalid: copy the full token from BotFather, including the part before the colon.
• No messages arrive: the bot can only message chats where someone has messaged it first. Send it a message and try again.
