AI keys
Thig runs on its own AI keys on every plan, so you do not need to bring an Anthropic or OpenAI key. How AI spend is capped and how your connected account tokens are stored.
You do not need an API key to use Thig. Thig runs on its own AI keys on every plan, including the 14 day Pro trial. There is no key step during sign-up and no separate AI bill from another provider.
What it costs you
Your plan price covers the AI work. Each plan sets plain monthly limits per agent, for example how many articles or posts you can generate. See pricing for the numbers.
On top of the limits, each workspace has an AI spend cap. If you reach a limit or the cap, Thig pauses that work, shows a clear message and offers the plan that unlocks more. Nothing is deleted.
Images
Article images are generated with Gemini or OpenAI on Thig's keys. You choose the provider and image style in your workspace settings. Free includes articles without images, Starter includes 1 image per article and Pro includes 2.
Keys for services you connect
When you connect a service such as WordPress, Webflow, Sanity, GitHub, Google or X, Thig stores the token or credential it issues.
- Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
- Thig shows only the last four characters, and the full value cannot be read back.
- Credentials are never written to logs.
- A credential is sent only to the service it belongs to.
You can disconnect any service in Settings, Integrations at any time.
