X Agent
Use the Thig X Agent to find conversations worth joining, draft posts and threads in your voice, split long text and publish to X.
The X Agent drafts posts and threads from your strategy and the conversations happening in your niche. You edit each draft, give it a planned date and publish it when you are ready.
Find opportunities
- Open the X Agent and go to Opportunities.
- Click Find opportunities.
- Each idea shows a Fit with your strategy (0 to 100) score, Expected engagement and a Why note explaining the suggestion.
- Draft from the ideas you like.
Draft posts
You have three ways to create drafts:
- Generate week. The agent writes a week of posts from your strategy in one go.
- Draft something specific. Pick a Draft type (Single post or Thread) and enter a topic, for example "why we dropped our old onboarding flow".
- Split long text into tweets. Paste long text into the splitter. Paragraphs become tweets, and long paragraphs are split by sentence.
Drafts appear in Drafts. Each shows fit badges that flag length and format issues.
Edit and schedule
- Open a draft and edit the Post text.
- Set a Planned date.
- Approve it.
Publish
- X connected: click Publish and Thig posts through the X API. Threads post as replies in order. Links to the live posts appear on the item.
- X not connected: click Publish and Thig opens the X compose window (
x.com/intent/post) with your text so you post it from your own session.
To connect, see X integration.
Track output
The agent shows how many posts you published this month against a monthly target, plus Drafts, Approved and Published counts. Published posts also show in the Social tab of the analytics panel.
Tune the voice
Open Settings, Agents and add X platform instructions, such as "keep it under 3 sentences, never use emojis". They are applied to every X post and thread. See Brand voice.

Questions about this page
Do I need to connect X to use the agent?
No. Without a connection, Publish opens the X compose window with your text. Connect X to post directly from Thig.
Can it write threads?
Yes. Choose Thread as the draft type, or paste long text into the splitter to turn it into a thread.
