Hi! I'm thig.

Connect Google Analytics 4

Connect Google Analytics 4 to Thig with Connect with Google, choose your GA4 property, and sync visitors, sessions, top pages and sources.

Connecting Google Analytics 4 lets Thig see how people reach and use your site. Analytics shows visitors, sessions, top pages and sources, and the daily digest includes your key numbers. Thig gets read-only access, per workspace.

Connect with Google

  1. Open Account from the dock, or Settings, Integrations. You can also use the Connect button next to Google in the top bar.
  2. Find Google Analytics and click Connect.
  3. Click Connect with Google.
  4. Choose the Google account that has access to your GA4 property.
  5. Allow read access to Google Analytics on the consent screen.
  6. You return to Thig, which shows Access granted and the Google account you used.

Choose your GA4 property

  1. Under GA4 property, open Select a property.
  2. Pick the property for this workspace's website.
  3. Save. Thig shows Saved. Syncing now.

If you see "No GA4 properties on this Google account.", sign in with a Google account that has at least Viewer access to the property. You can grant access in Google Analytics under Admin, Property access management.

What syncs

DataWhere you see it
Visitors, users, sessions, viewsAnalytics, Traffic tab
Top pagesTraffic tab, SEO Agent context
Referrers and source / mediumTraffic tab

Data syncs every 12 hours. Click Refresh in Analytics to sync now.

Tip: tag your campaign links with consistent UTM parameters so the source / medium report stays readable. The UTM builder helps.

Change or disconnect

  • Pick a different property from the integration at any time.
  • Click Reconnect Google to use another Google account.
  • Disconnecting removes the connector and all collected data.

You can revoke access from your Google account at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Advanced and server setup

The Advanced: paste a refresh token instead option accepts an OAuth refresh token with the analytics.readonly scope and a GA4 property ID, such as 123456789.

If you run your own Thig server, the Google OAuth client setup is shared with Search Console. Follow the server steps in Connect Google Search Console. Make sure the Google Analytics Data API and Google Analytics Admin API are enabled in your Google Cloud project.

Questions about this page

Does Thig support Universal Analytics?

No. Thig reads GA4 properties only. Universal Analytics stopped processing data in 2023.

Where do I find my GA4 property ID?

In Google Analytics, open Admin, then Property settings. The property ID is a number such as 123456789. With Connect with Google you pick it from a list instead.
