Connect HubSpot
Connect a HubSpot blog to Thig with a private app token and blog ID so the Writer Agent can create blog posts as drafts.
Connect HubSpot so the Writer Agent can create posts on your HubSpot blog. Thig uses a private app token and creates posts as drafts by default. This integration covers blog publishing only. It does not read or write contacts.
Step 1: Create a private app
- In HubSpot, open Settings.
- Go to Integrations, then Private apps.
- Click Create a private app and name it
Thig. - On the Scopes tab, add the content scope for CMS blog posts.
- Create the app and copy its access token.
HubSpot explains private apps in its developer documentation.
Step 2: Find the blog ID
The blog ID is the content group ID of the blog you publish to.
- Go to Settings, Content, Blog.
- Select the blog. The ID appears in the page URL.
Step 3: Connect in Thig
- Open Account from the dock, or Settings, Integrations.
- Find HubSpot and click Connect.
- Fill in:
- Private app token: from step 1.
- Blog ID: from step 2.
- Author ID: optional. The default blog author for new posts.
- Click Connect. Thig checks that it can read your blog posts.
Publish an article
- Approve an article in the Writer Agent.
- Click Publish to HubSpot.
- Thig creates the post in the Draft state.
- Review it in HubSpot, add a featured image if needed, and publish.
Only one article destination can be connected at a time.
