Hi! I'm thig.

Connect Webflow

Connect Webflow to Thig with a site API token and your blog collection ID so the Writer Agent can create CMS items for new articles.

Connect Webflow so the Writer Agent can add finished articles to your blog collection as CMS items. You need a site API token and the ID of your blog collection.

Step 1: Create a site API token

  1. In Webflow, open your site's Site settings.
  2. Go to Apps & integrations.
  3. Under API access, click Generate API token.
  4. Give it CMS read and write access.
  5. Copy the token.

Webflow explains tokens in its API documentation.

Step 2: Find the collection ID

  1. Open the CMS panel in the Webflow Designer.
  2. Open your blog collection's settings.
  3. Copy the Collection ID. It looks like 65f0c....

While you are there, note the slug of the rich text field that holds the article body, for example post-body.

Step 3: Connect in Thig

  1. Open Account from the dock, or Settings, Integrations.
  2. Find Webflow and click Connect.
  3. Fill in:
    • API token: the token from step 1.
    • Blog collection ID: the ID from step 2.
    • Rich text field slug: optional. Defaults to post-body.
  4. Click Connect. Thig checks that it can read the collection.

Publish an article

  1. Approve an article in the Writer Agent.
  2. Click Publish to Webflow.
  3. Thig creates a CMS item with the title, slug and body.
  4. Review the item in Webflow and publish your site.

Thig fills the name, slug and body fields. If your collection has other required fields, such as a category or thumbnail, fill them in Webflow before publishing.

Only one article destination can be connected at a time.

Troubleshooting

  • Collection not found: check you copied the collection ID, not the site ID.
  • Unauthorized: the token may lack CMS write access. Generate a new one.
  • Body is empty: the rich text field slug does not match. Copy the exact slug from the collection settings.

Questions about this page

Are Webflow items published right away?

Items are created as drafts unless you choose to publish, so you can review them in the Webflow Designer or Editor first.

My body field is not called post-body. What do I enter?

Enter the slug of your rich text field in Rich text field slug. If you leave it empty, Thig uses post-body.
