Google lists which types can produce rich results, and its rules for each, in the structured data gallery. Rich result eligibility changes over time, so markup is best seen as a clear description of the page rather than a guaranteed visual feature. Full vocabularies live at schema.org.
Keep markup honest
Structured data must match visible content. Marking up reviews, prices or FAQs that are not on the page can lead to a manual action. See the schema markup skill for an audit method.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I put JSON-LD?
Anywhere in the HTML, usually in the head or at the end of the body, inside a script tag with type application/ld+json.
Can a page have more than one schema type?
Yes. Add several script tags, or one script with an array. Each object should describe something visible on the page.
Does schema markup improve rankings?
Google says structured data helps it understand pages and can make them eligible for rich results. It is not a direct ranking boost.
