Hi! I'm thig.

Connect Slack

Connect Slack to Thig with an incoming webhook to post your daily digest of new feed items and key metrics to a channel.

Connect Slack to post Thig's daily digest to a channel. The digest lists new feed items since the last one and key metrics from Search Console, Google Analytics and PageSpeed. Thig uses a Slack incoming webhook, so it can post to one channel and nothing else.

Step 1: Create an incoming webhook

  1. Go to api.slack.com/apps and click Create New App, then From scratch.
  2. Name it Thig and choose your Slack workspace.
  3. Open Incoming Webhooks and turn it on.
  4. Click Add New Webhook to Workspace and pick the channel.
  5. Copy the webhook URL. It starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.

Slack documents this in its incoming webhooks guide.

Step 2: Connect in Thig

  1. Open Account from the dock, or Settings, Integrations.
  2. Find Slack and click Connect.
  3. Paste the URL into Incoming webhook URL.
  4. Click Connect.

Thig only accepts URLs that start with https://hooks.slack.com/. The URL is stored encrypted because anyone with it can post to your channel.

What you receive

The digest posts once a day through the digest monitor:

  • New feed items by agent since the last digest.
  • Key metrics from stored Search Console, Analytics and PageSpeed data.

The digest reads stored data only and does not use AI credits. Change its schedule in Settings, Agents, Monitors.

Planned

Interactive Slack actions, such as approving a draft from a message, are not available yet. For now, use the digest as a reminder and act on items in the feed.

Troubleshooting

  • Webhook failed (404 or 410): the webhook was removed or the channel was archived. Create a new webhook and click Manage to replace it.
  • Posts go to the wrong channel: webhooks are tied to one channel. Create a webhook for the right channel.

Questions about this page
