Getting Started
Go from sign-up to a finished PRD in three steps
Create Your Account
Sign up with your email or Google account. You will be guided through a quick onboarding flow to set up your organization and preferences.
Start a Conversation
Create a new project and select a template. The AI will guide you through structured questions to extract your product requirements.
Review Your PRD
Your PRD is generated automatically. Review it with AI coaching, generate developer specs and user stories, then export to your team.

AI Conversations
THIG uses guided AI conversations to extract comprehensive product requirements from you. Instead of staring at a blank document, you answer structured questions that cover every aspect of your product.
- Choose from multiple templates or describe your product idea freely. The AI selects the right questions based on your template and previous answers.
- Questions are structured with expected answer types (text, selections, booleans) and conditional logic, so you only see questions relevant to your product.
- Your conversation history is preserved and can be resumed at any time. The AI remembers context from previous answers to ask smarter follow-up questions.
- Quick start hints on the chat page help you get going immediately with common product scenarios relevant to your chosen template.
PRD Generation
Once your conversation is complete, THIG generates a fully-structured Product Requirements Document tailored to your chosen style and level of detail.
- Choose from 5 PRD styles: Comprehensive (full detail), Technical (engineering-focused), Business (stakeholder-friendly), Lean (minimal viable spec), or Agile (user story format).
- PRDs include all standard sections: executive summary, user personas, functional requirements, non-functional requirements, technical architecture, success metrics, and timeline.
- Use the rich text editor on the review page to make manual edits, add tables, insert images, and refine the generated content to match your exact needs.
- PRD quality scoring rates your document on completeness, clarity, and feasibility, giving you a score out of 100 with specific improvement suggestions.
CPO Coaching
Get executive-level feedback on your PRD from an AI that acts as your Chief Product Officer. The coach reviews your document and provides actionable improvement suggestions.
- The CPO coach evaluates your PRD across multiple dimensions: market fit, technical feasibility, user impact, completeness, and strategic alignment.
- Quality scores are saved to your project and displayed on both the review page and dashboard, so you can track improvement across iterations.
- Coaching feedback is saved to your Knowledge Base automatically, creating a persistent record of reviews and suggestions for your team to reference.
Export Options
Export your work in multiple formats and generate additional deliverables directly from your PRD.
- Export PRDs as Markdown (for GitHub, Notion, and other tools), DOCX (branded Word documents with proper heading styles and table formatting), or copy to clipboard.
- Generate developer specifications with technical implementation details, API contracts, and architecture recommendations based on your PRD content.
- Create user stories with acceptance criteria, ready to import into your project management tool of choice.

Team Collaboration
THIG is built for teams. Share work, manage permissions, and collaborate on requirements across your organization.
- Invite team members to your organization with role-based access: owners, admins, members, and viewers each have appropriate permissions.
- Share individual projects with external collaborators via email invitation or unique access links, with viewer or editor permissions.
- Real-time collaboration awareness shows who else is viewing or editing a document, preventing conflicting changes.
- Organization admins can manage templates, API keys, billing, and member roles from the admin dashboard.
Knowledge Base
Each project has a built-in Knowledge Base for organizing reference documents, AI-generated content, and project files.
- Upload reference documents, competitor analyses, user research, and technical specs. The AI uses these as context when generating PRDs and answering questions.
- AI-generated content (user stories, technical specs, CPO feedback, chat exports) is automatically saved to the Knowledge Base for easy reference.
- Organize files into folders with drag-and-drop support. Default folders are created automatically for common document categories.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I change the PRD style?
On the review page, use the Style selector in the right sidebar to choose from 5 styles: Comprehensive, Technical, Business, Lean, or Agile. Click "Regenerate" to update your PRD with the new style. Your preference is saved automatically for future sessions.
How do I share a PRD with someone outside my organization?
Click the Share button on any project's review page. You can invite external collaborators by email with viewer or editor roles. They will receive a unique access link that works without requiring a THIG account. You can revoke access at any time from the share dialog.
How do I use Bring Your Own Key (BYOK)?
Go to your organization settings and navigate to the API Keys section. You can add your own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys, which will be used instead of the platform keys for your AI requests. Keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and scoped to your organization.
How do I export a PRD as a Word document?
On the review page, click the Export button in the document header. Select "DOCX" from the format options. The exported document includes your organization name, project name, author details, properly formatted headings, tables, and code blocks.
How do I delete my account?
To delete your account, contact us at [email protected] with your account email address. We will process your deletion request within 30 days and permanently remove all your personal data, projects, and conversation history.
What AI models are available?
THIG supports multiple AI providers. From OpenAI: GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini, and GPT-4 Turbo. From Anthropic: Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Opus, Claude 3 Sonnet, and Claude 3 Haiku. Your organization admin can configure the default model in settings.
