What goes in an llms.txt file

Tips for a useful file
- Link to clean pages: docs, pricing, a product overview, and your best guides.
- Keep descriptions factual. A model reads them to decide which link to open.
- Put changelogs, old posts and press under Optional.
- Update the file when you ship a major page. Treat it like a sitemap for reading, not for crawling.
llms.txt is not robots.txt
robots.txt controls which crawlers may fetch which URLs. llms.txt controls nothing. It is a reading list. If you want to block or allow AI crawlers, use the robots.txt generator.
