General
What is THIG?
THIG is an AI-powered platform that helps product teams create professional Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) through guided conversations. Instead of staring at a blank page, you have a natural chat with our AI, which asks structured questions and generates a complete PRD.
Who is THIG for?
Product managers, startup founders, engineering teams, and agencies who need to create clear, actionable product specifications. Whether you're documenting a new feature or an entire product, THIG helps you think through requirements systematically.
How is THIG different from ChatGPT or other AI tools?
THIG is purpose-built for PRD creation. It uses structured templates to guide the conversation, generates domain-specific documents (stakeholder views, user stories, technical specs), provides CPO-level coaching, and manages your documents with versioning and collaboration. Generic AI tools can't do any of this out of the box.
Do I need technical knowledge to use THIG?
Not at all. THIG is designed for product people. The AI guides you through the process with plain-language questions. Technical specs are generated automatically based on your answers.

Features & AI
Which AI models does THIG use?
THIG supports both OpenAI (GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini) and Anthropic (Claude 3.5 Sonnet, Claude 3 Opus/Sonnet/Haiku). You can configure your preferred provider in settings.
What is BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)?
BYOK lets you use your own OpenAI or Anthropic API keys instead of THIG's shared pool. This gives you full control over AI costs and removes any shared rate limits. Available on Business and Enterprise plans.
Can I export my PRDs?
Yes. Export to Markdown (clipboard), DOCX (with your organization's branding), or PDF. You can also generate developer specs, launch blog posts, press releases, demo scripts, and more.
What are AI wireframes?
THIG can generate Mermaid diagrams from your PRD: user flows, system architecture, data flows, sequence diagrams, and journey maps. These are rendered as SVG and can be exported.
Can I upload reference documents?
Yes. Each project has a Knowledge Base where you can upload specs, design docs, research, and other reference files. The AI uses these as context when generating your PRD.
Security & Data
Is my data secure?
Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. We use Supabase (PostgreSQL) with Row Level Security for data isolation between organizations.
Where is my data stored?
Data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases. File uploads are stored in Supabase Storage with signed URLs. All infrastructure is cloud-hosted with regular backups.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete individual projects, documents, and files at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, contact support.
Do you train AI models on my data?
No. Your data is never used to train AI models. Conversations are sent to OpenAI or Anthropic only for generating responses, in accordance with their data processing agreements.
Collaboration & Sharing
Can I share PRDs with people outside my team?
Yes. Generate a secure share link that lets anyone view your PRD — no THIG account required. You can set links to expire and revoke access at any time.
How does team collaboration work?
Invite team members to your organization. Members can create projects, view PRDs, and collaborate on documents. Organization admins can manage roles, templates, and billing.
Can I use custom templates?
Yes. Create organization-specific templates with custom questions, system prompts, and quick-start hints. Templates can be versioned and shared across your team.
